After many months of behind-the-scenes discussion and work, we can finally lift the lid on some exciting news we’ve wanted to share with you. The announcement is two-fold, so please be sure to read to the end so you don’t miss anything important.
First things first: ****It is our pleasure to announce that Mattr Holdings, the parent of Embr Labs, has entered into a strategic partnership with Enigmatic Smile, the powerhouse behind the leading payment-linked rewards infrastructure worldwide.
Enigmatic Smile represents a growing coalition of several companies and entrepreneurs, united in a singular effort to decentralize the issuance of currency. With a team of over 120 people spread across 17 companies around the world, Enigmatic Smile leverages its technology, people, and expertise to create the world’s best reward programs. Their partners execute large-scale rewards programs for banks, phone companies, and organizations with large consumer bases. They have top-tier partnerships with industry-leading banks and card schemes, making them the leading provider of retailer offers and the top facilitators of reward-matched transactions worldwide.
With an extensive payment-linked rewards infrastructure already in place, Enigmatic Smile is going to exclusively integrate the VOW token, bringing millions of users onchain in an easy way. As pioneers in seamless, purpose-built on-chain payments technology, Mattr Holdings is a key strategic partner with a shared goal of disrupting traditional systems through payments. This partnership creates the foundation for a world-class experience through which users will onboard to VOW.
This leads us to the second major announcement. As a part of this strategic partnership, we are sunsetting the EMBR token and embracing Enigmatic Smile’s VOW token ecosystem. We formally invite you to join us in supporting both Enigmatic Smile and VOW as we phase out the EMBR token and embark on this new chapter of our journey.
After months of discussions between organizations, Enigmatic Smile has agreed to offer all EMBR token holders a generous amount of VOW tokens from their balance sheet that represents a three-month median of the EMBR price, taking into account each holder’s staking rewards earned up to now. Simultaneously, this means the EMBR token will no longer be supported. As new VOW holders, it is important to note that this migration process is happening just before the most exciting VOW token utility kicks off in full stride.
Over the next few months, their infrastructure is moving from fiat cashback mechanism, to a “tokenized discount” using a purpose-built layer-2 blockchain network, and the VOW token. Due this exciting outlook on the VOW token, specifically, we feel this will offer the EMBR holders the best set of benefits long into the future.
Supported, already, by unique staking rewards, an exciting token-centric roadmap, and innovative token utilities, we anticipate this to be an exciting new chapter for us all in the VOW ecosystem. This means that EMBR token holders will be able to gain from EMBR’s planned product roadmap as well as VOWs, and Enigmatic Smile’s.
Whereas a lot of the plans for the EMBR token were still theoretical, many of VOW’s practical use cases are already here and available on Day 1. With the imminent launch of VOW’s upcoming layer-2 blockchain ahead, and with VOW playing a significant role, the future within the VOW ecosystem is extremely bright.
